In this exciting, lively workshop, children learn that the Haka is the generic term for Māori dance and how today, it is generally used to refer specifically to a Māori challenge or  war dance. It is a posture dance performed by a group, with vigorous movements and stamping of the feet with rhythmically shouted accompaniment.
