African Storytelling Workshops

In Africa folk tales and myths serve are handed down from one generation to the next by village elders. In many African countries there has been a tradition, sometiomes referred to as “Tales by Moonlight”, where village elders would gather the children around a campfire after dark to tell them traditional stories, often morality tales,  to prepare them for life.

Like all such traditions it is under pressure as rural communities move to the big cities, but it still exists and we have artists who can bring those stories to your school and share them with your pupils.
